Smoke effects

Postby Mr. Bones » Tue Feb 10, 2004 12:17 pm

hi,

how do you add smoke effects to the Viper? i added an effect (see screenshotsforum) i took from the default Extra300. now this effect only gives me a contrail when i pull high G's, so not in straight flight.

how can i add an effect that i turn on by pressing I and that keeps giving smoke untill i press I again?

thanks!

AFAIK it's coupled to a gauge...

let me think.... (yes i do that sometimes) you go into the aircraft.cfg and put the smokesystem thing from the aircraft you want it from
this is the extra 300's:

[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0=0.00, -0.70, 1.40, fx_smoke_w

and for a really neat one, try this:
[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0=0.00, -0.70, 1.40, fx_cloudlightning03
smoke.0=0.00, -0.70, 1.40, fx_cloudlightning04
smoke.0=0.00, 0.70, 1.40, fx_cloudlightning03
smoke.0=0.00, 0.70, 1.40, fx_cloudlightning04
smoke.0=0.00, -0.70, -1.40, fx_cloudlightning03
smoke.0=0.00, -0.70, -1.40, fx_cloudlightning04
smoke.0=0.00, 0.70, -1.40, fx_cloudlightning03
smoke.0=0.00, 0.70, -1.40, fx_cloudlightning04

well of course! i'm trying to hit them!

i think the following line

gauge00=keffect!gforce,  1,1,1,1

is the one that you have to remove.
The Keffect!GForce XML gauge controls the smoke effect in relation to G-force and altitude
