Taxi&Landing lights

Postby Sterk » Wed Jan 28, 2004 2:25 pm

Ok,my TU334 project is reaching  aircraft lights adjusting stage and I have a little problem with taxi and landing lights...
I created lights as it described in Chris File's tutorial-triangles,representing light sorce with Z-axis set opposite to light beam direction,but...
It's no matter how I set z-axis of light source-in sim my beam always point vertically down- first problem...
And I dont really see the beam-just light circle on ground...
It seems I miss some little thing as always ??? :D

Lightsource objects for taxi lights in my aircraft are not parented to any object-is it important?
And landing lights wich placed on center gear are parented to gear-I dont think that I can change axis orientation of center gear because it can change the gear animation directions...Hmmm...
As I remember Chris File daznt parent his lights to any object and z-axis of lightsource itself defines the beam direction...
