T34C Update Jan13

Took a break for about two weeks, got back yesterday, here's what I got so far.



Currently I'm working on the intake scoops which are proving rather difficult. Then gear assemblies and prop.  I'm planning on making a cockpit interior, but want to figure out all the basics for the model first, get it flying ect ect...then on to the major details like virtual cockpit and such.

thats neat, i especially like the tail assembly.
which plane is it.. not familiar with the T34C name although the aircraft itself looks like i recognise it..

The T-34C is the turboprop version of the venerable T-34A/B Beechcraft "Mentor"  trainer of USAF/USN fame.  It was exported to various countries, and still used in South America.

It also has seen limited service as a COIN armed aircraft

Deep down, it's a two seat Beech Bonanza on steroids.

Side note - FUJI of Japan built the Mentor under license, and from it developed a four seat liason plane - sort of full circle, eh?

I'd put it more on a par with a turboprop Beagle.  I'd compare the Tucano with the T-6 Texan II ... (a locally built variant of a furrin plane)

Couldnt have hit the nail on the head any better! You can really see this if you compare the T34A to a Bonanza, they are almost identical. Even the C model carries over many of the characteristics. All said and done, I'm taking my digital camera to the FBO that I work at and getting some detailed pics of the landing gear for my project.
