Ok,guys, after all this insanities with gear animation I concluded that the problem is the software that I work with...

There is a plugin for Gmax that exports scenes to *.mdl files while still maintaining the animations.

You can find it on one of the FS2002 disks [I think] or you can find it on one of the FS2002 sdk's.

I have been exporting from 3dmax with no problems at all using the PandaSoft X Exporter. Once you get the setup right, it works like a charm. It is the only alternative for those who don't have FS2002Pro with the gamepak but have 3dMax 4x. The converter that Microsoft provides is a command line utility and way over my head but the PandaSoft X Exporter has a GUI and is simple and WORKS.

I have 3Dmax 5 and Pandasoft plug in,I tried to export just simple box even without textures-and  makemdl failed to compile it,reporting such kind of error:
Error! 2 units/meter
But I set one unit=one meter and checked it million times...

2Katahu:
FS2002 SDK page has no this plug for download,if it had I wouldnt start this post...
And I wouldnt start this post if I had FS2002 pro...
