I know that you can simply go around the object and select the vertices and then hit colapse. That will take care of any stray colocated vertices, but is there an easier way? It takes so long to move around the edge and select and colapse every single vertex. And that's the only way I know of finding and eliminating colocated vertices.
Tell me there is a simple little button to push that will find the offending vertices and colapse them automatically. It has to be easier than this . . .

In vertices sub-object, select all vertices and weld to an appropriate threshold?

What do you mean, threshold?

Where it says "Target" - the number of pixels within which you want to have the vertices that you're going to weld.
