I don't know why, but everytime I try to edit a panel in MSAE it crashes
can anyone help?

If you mean FSEdit that is one buggy piece of software & not worth bothering with. IMHO
I suggest trying CfgEdit.
http://www.simviation.com/fsdesign_panels1.htmNot fully FS2002-compatible (it can't read XML gauges) but perfectly usable & won't crash unexpectedly.
