I'm looking forward to taking a plastic model and seeing how "far" I can get... maybe for some of the detail parts - cockpit interiors, etc., to get some of that "cluttered" look....
I had a moment of excitment the other day when I loaded a 'converted' DXF of an aircraft I'd been dabbling with - into something called 'Simply 3d' by Micrografx.
Well - instantly I was able to smooth, level - adjust this & that & paint in seconds - all with wireframe visible in optional window. I could even cut out any shape window in seconds.. I thought this was going great until the few braincells I possess stopped laughing & reminded me that this was a graphics only re-work & couldn't be exported in anything like a DXF format !!
Hope yours turns out with better possibilities
My main questions are these:
1. Will this be a 'flying object'? As in the phone thrown across the room. & Will it have a virtual cockpit?
2. Will this be freeware or payware?
For some time i cant figure out how to get dfx file into a proper "3d model" in gmax.
I have an importer, but the only thing i ended up was a flat and actually horrible output. What do i have to do ?

Thanks Felix !
One question still remains: Is it possible to import dfx files into gmax made from bmp aircraft drawings ?
I used a program (forgot the exact name) to create dfx files from picture files; probably thats why i got a flat output
