Hello all. I'm rarely found in this forum, but I need some help now. Here we go...
I have the DG33TL Intel motherboard with the Q6700 running at the stock speed of 2.66GHz. However, when I play FSX, I like to crank it up to 3GHz. But because it's in an Intel motherboard, it doesn't allow overclocking by BIOS. So I use a program called SetFSB to change the FSB speed to 3GHz. Everything runs good and it makes a world of difference in my FSX performance -- that's why I do it. BUT when I restart the computer, the motherboard resets the speed back to 2.66GHz, so I have to change the speeds every time I want to play FSX, which is quite annoying.
What I want to know is:
Is there anything I can do to the BIOS or motherboard to make it stop resetting speeds or allow me to overclock manually?
