What Operating System Do You Use?

I still use Windows XP (laugh if you want). So what OS do you use?

I'm not laughing. If I could, I would still be using XP. But unfortunately, XP won't run my 64bit 4 core. I've learned to cope with 7, but I don't like it as well as I did XP. Microsoft has never,

IMHO, done it right since XP or between Win 3.1 and XP, with the possible exception of 95. I had ME for a while, but it had problems too. I don't understand why they feel they have to

change the interface so much every time they come out with a new one. Why couldn't they have just updated XP to work with 64 bit 4 core systems and left the rest as it was?

But I'm an old fogey and they don't consider folks like me. They are trying to sell to all you young folks, especially the ones running Macs. ::)

Believe it or not, I miss the days of running 3.1 and DOS.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Not laughing here either. When I purchased my new PC a few months ago my friendly 'puter man installed my old XP on it at no extra charge. This saved me the expense of purchasing a new OS which I didn't want & also the hassles of learning to use it. 8-)

Some people seem to have more than their fair share of problems running the MS sims on Win7. I'm disappointed in a way as I would have liked to try it for myself to see if it's as bad as they make out.

I use Vista.

XP is old, outdated, and somewhat unsafe nowadays.

I've only used 7 on my Dad's laptop, and it was fine, but I just didn't particularly like it.

Vista isn't without problems, but I prefer it to the other two. I just think 7 is the start of a long line of operating systems which is trying to move away from how older Windows OSs looked and worked, and I always liked that style.

I'm trying to get a few more miles on my XP pro before I trade it in.

I'm running XP Pro SP3 on my Sim machine
Had Vista on my Laptop & hated it, went to Win 7 64 on that one.

I've reinstalled XP Pro on several customer machines, seems you can't beat a stable winner.  ;)

[smiley=happy.gif] but still Xp its winning this poll , I can swallow win7 I bought it for my son's PC because I rather xp (I wouldn't want vista even if they give it free  ;D ),but I acknowledge the things run faster in w7

Bought a new computer in mid March, Win07, after 7.5 years of XP.  I was able to load up my XP software OK, and tracked down a copy of Excel 2002 as I really do not like the new Excel format at all.

FS09 runs just great on it, great frames, no probs whatsoever, but mainly, I think, because the new sys is super fast with lots of memory.

Win07 is OK, I got used to it quickly, no real probs, has a few quirks, you get used to it, but I think XP is a somewhat better format and also a bit easier to use.
