Star Trek: Armada II dual install

Postby Capt.Propwash » Wed Feb 03, 2010 9:45 pm

as you can tell in the title, I would like to have 2 installations of 1 game (kinda like 2 installs of FS) ..... the only thing is, I would like them BOTH to be on 1 drive.

I know that i have to rename the .exe as well as create new shortcuts to that renamed .exe.

what I can not seem to be able to do, is install a 2nd version of the exact same game. when i put in the disk, it asks do i want to PLAY, RE-INSTALL, UN-INSTALL.. etc etc etc.   If i choose RE-INSTALL, it will try to uninstall/re-install everything that I just changed.

Proposal.... I want to modify 1 version so that it is different from the other, but i want to be able to play BOTH at separate times.  ..... Both require the same disk in order to play.

Do I need to put them on separate drives in order to do this?   Or what do I need to do?
