AVG Antivirus Update Problem

Postby a1 » Sun Jul 26, 2009 11:50 am

Whenever I try to update AVG Anti-virus I only get to the point where it finds new updates but the next stage where AVG actually goes out and connects to the server I get a Connection Failed. Windows Firewall allows AVG to pass and I even turn it off but I get the same problem. I am suspecting something in my router firewall that doesn't let me update.

Does nayone know how I can resolve this?

THanks

Do you have the latest version... i know that the server tends to refuse EOL-ed versions after a while

We will see because I just downloaded the updates and updated them form my HDD. I have 8.5 now so if what you are saying is true I am good to go.

Time will tell.

Sounds like you were right. It was the version. I just updated it again today with no problems. :D
