Best compression method in Photoshop CS3

Postby Layne. » Fri Jul 03, 2009 7:05 am

I use photoshop and it gives quite a few Compression methods for JPEG images for example

Progressive  (Scans 3, 4 or 5)
Baseline Optimized
Baseline "standard"

So which one is the best to use?
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | 22" LED Monitor (1920x1080) | AMD Phenom II x4 970 Black Edition~3.5Ghz | 4gb RAM | ATI Radeon 6850 1gb | 1Tb HDD

I think it is obvious that progressive is the best. I have not used any because I don't have CS3 though. :)

I have Photoshop Elements, and I just use the 'save for web' function. I loose no quality, and the photo is almost always under the limits.
