Apple Software Updater

Anyone know how to kill the Apple Software Updater thingie.  It just popped up and killed my perf as I was coming in to land at O'Hare.

yea.. they are really pushing things with that background tool.. same with Google Updater if you install the latest Google Earth... there is a way to kill that too

If this is the updated for Adobe Flash you must use their super-secret "we dont want you doing this" online tool to remove it from scanning/updating without you knowing

PPS -

Run your Apple Software Updater application. When it finishes checking, go to the Menu bar and click on Edit and select Preferences. In the box that opens, on the Schedule Tab, put a bullet in Never and then click OK and close the application. It won't open unannounced again.

Nick's tips are very useful for Adobe related products.

Thanks guys...I did all kinds of searches and never found what you sent me to.  My powers of Search are weak...Or I just wasnt putting in the right words...Maybe...

Thanks again...Those Adobe and Apple boogers were driving me nut!
