If the system is VISTA and you have NET 3 you do not need NET 2 as it is backwards compatible

If the system is XP you need either the x86 or x64 version depending on what OS you have.. XP x64 or XP x32

If its x32 then DOWNLOAD .NET 2.0 REDIST x86

if its x64 then DOWNLOAD .NET 2.0 REDIST x64

as I said.. if this is a VISTA OS you only need 3.0

and one other thing... you do not have to download that from there... you CAN go to Windows Update in IE...   TOOLS - WINDOWS UPDATE

Select the CUSTOM scan/update method. The WU system will scan your computer and show you in the OPTIONAL DOWNLOADS the versions of .NET you do not have... you can select then and install... once complete RUN the same Windows Update scan again and let it present you with the SERVICE PACKS for .NET and security updates.

By using Windows Update for this it will select the correct version and the correct updates for your system automatically without question as to what is right or not.

If you dont know I doubt you have x64

however as was posted check the system properties..

and if you go to Windows Update as I posted it will do it automatically.. you dont need to know anything   :)
