Copying Office 2007 to new computer?

Postby coolpick » Tue Dec 09, 2008 11:06 am

Hey, I'm getting a new computer here sometime this winter, and I have Office 2007 on my laptop, I would like to of course put it on my new computer, but I dont have any of the CDs or product key for my copy(got lost when I moved, been looking for ever).  I was wondering if I can just copy it over. If not what do I have to do, or would I have to get another product key?

Thanks

Here is a link to Keyfinder

If you recover your key, maybe you can borrow a copy of Office and do a correct install.

Alternatively, you can use OpenOffice.

Free program that has all the functions of MS Office, only it's free.  I use it on my laptop with no problems... except when I forget to tell it to save as a .doc instead of a .odf.

Office 2007? My school has it on all it's systems in the computer labs, and I hate it.

I have Office 2003 at home, and I use it where I work, and I love it 8-)

Everyone has an opinion about office. I own Office 95, 2000, 2003 and 2007.

My opinion is Office 2007 might be the best piece of software MS ever came out with.

I make my living using Office and find 2007 to be a great piece of software.

My problem is I can't find anything in Word 2007. I can't find the same simple features in Word 2007 that I can in Word 2003.

And what really bugs me, is that I can't find the indent bars in Word 2007, that 2003 has where you can adjust margins, tables, paragraph indentations, ect. I use that feature so much, that when I try to use the school computers, I simply don't know how to format my papers as easily.

I won't argue that point.

It took me a while to figure it out, now I have a problem using 2003.
