Sounds from video?

Is there an easy way to pull sounds from say an AVI or WMV and make them into a WAV file?

Download and install "Audacity". It's a freeware sound recorder/editor that will let you record any sound being processed by your system's sound hardware, and save it into just about any format. (Plugins may be needed for some formats.) Think of it as the "Irfanview" of audio. Really easy to use.

Audacity and a few plugins:

I also use SUPER. Add the movie, convert it to a sound file... it removes the video layer and converts the sounds.

Nice program... terrible official website to navigate through, lol.

You can use any converter to convert it to a music format. All the conversion does is take out the video part, yet leaves the sound.
