Does anyone know anything about xplane?
please post negative and positive comments if you have any.
thanks,

I've used 6, 7 and 8 and I have to say for realism they're superb, however graphically they're miles behind FS.
I've not tried 9 yet but I think I will in the very near future somehow.... it looks like a huge improvement graphically 8-)

with the right set up XP can be FAA certified and can log time that counts to real world hours.
forests are incredibly dense even on the lowest setting (denser than FSX on sparse but not by much) the runways are not just flat planes on the ground so as you look down the runway you can see the elevation changes.

Quick question, is it open world, or just certain areas?

After a couple weeks of flying this, the flight dynamics are really exciting to experience. Very high FPS with butter smooth operation. The default scenery leaves a lot to be desired though. The roads are lousy too. And very few full VCs. Notwithstanding that I'm still liking it.
Perfect world: FSX graphics (including UTX/GEX/FEX/MTX) + Xplane flight dynamics and smoothness.
