DVD Software

Postby Aerophile » Sun Dec 16, 2007 10:40 am

I can't find the DVD software that came installed on my computer.  I have Windows Media Player, but I liked the other software better.  The only thing is, I can't remember the name of the software I am looking for.  Anyway, I know this sounds weird, but what DVD software do you use?  Maybe this will help me jog my memory.

That sounds like it! Or at least it sounds familiar anyway.  After searching my computer though it didn't turn up anything.

Intervideo WinDVD...It's the only program I have that supports Blu-ray playback...I like to use it for Blu-ray's only...WMP11 for DVD's is my choice ;)

I've got PowerDVD on my desktop. It's ok, but i've got InterVideo WinDVD 5 on my laptop, which I like better, but it won't work on my desktop because it's not a HP system... ::)

I would love to, but the website you directed me to wants 20 bucks to download it.  I know twenty bucks doesn't sound like much, but teaching people how to fly is not as lucrative as one might think.  Maybe on second year FO pay perhaps.  ;) ;D

I'm still scratching my head as to how the software got deleted in the first place.

Oooopppssss..... :-[....!

Sorry about that. I didn't realise it was Payware!

Mine came free, as part of a suite of Utilities, on the DVD Drive Installation Disk...

Look inside your programs folder for one called "CyberLink". If PowerDVD is installed, that's where it should be. It's the one I use too.
