Yahoo! Messenger won't let me sign in

Basically:
Start up Y!IM
type in my username and password
click sign in
signing in for about 3 minutes....
drops me back to the sign in page.
I ran Y!IM ONCE on this computer but not for a week or so.
Vista home premium.
Trend Micro IS.

Ditch Yahoo and get MSN

Or use Trillian...You can sign into one program that has Yahoo, MSN, AIM etc etc...Hard to explain...

I'll have to do that until yahoo catches up and comes out with Y!IM 9 (Vista compatible only) It should be here in 08

What antivirus do you have? Your ports might be blocked for some reason.  ;)

I use Trend Micro Internet Security. It seems that many of my internet programs don't run at peak internet times. Which include Y!IM and FSX Multiplayer.

I overcome those sort of problems by either....

Telephoning.
Writing a letter.
Popping round to see them.

Everything else, emails + IM.
YahooIM works now but doesn't on say, friday nights when the net is super busy.
