Postby G-Fire25 » Sat Jun 30, 2007 1:12 am

Sorry to mods if posted about before, searched ^.^

I just ordered Falcon 4.0 Allied Force. Does anyone have any tips and is there anyway I can get the manual before it gets here?

The manual is a 716 page .pdf file, so it might  be difficult to find it without the game disk (and it might be a good time to stock up on printer paper ;D ). However, there are German and Italian translations of the manual available for download.
I also noticed there are a few patches for it, the latest being ver. 1.0.12. It seems to be based on Microprose's Falcon 4.0 so it should be a hoot.

I've heard Falcon 4 was bug ridden, and people say this one is a lot better, and harder.

It is better, but expect to study and practice for a long time before becoming proficient.  It's really satisfying though to cold start your F-16, fly a mission, then shut it down afterwards. 8-)

Falcon 4.0 AF makes Microsoft Flight Simulator look like a video game.  :)  It is an amazingly in-depth simulation.  Definately take the time to read the manual (as was stated, a pdf file on the game disk).  Another thing some folks do is order the actual F-16 flight manuals (don't know where you could get these, the Air Force perhaps or Lockheed Martin?  Ask at your local Army-Navy surplus store.)
