BF2 Stats Are Back

Postby a1 » Mon Jun 25, 2007 8:45 pm

Most of the ranked servers are reporting that the stats are coming back. I think EA has fixed the problem.

Now to just get that Sniper medal again. ::)

I once outsniped another sniper (who was using the L96A1) at 390 meters away, using the M95. Seriously, if you think that is nothing special, I challenge you to try using the M95 at that range...

the M95 is easy to use on a stationary target.  400metres aint that far.

Take into account, that it has MASSIVE amounts of deviation and recoil. And add that to the fact that it is simply inaccurate. Now, this guy, was shooting at me using an L96A1. He had pinpoint precision. ;)

LOL you never give up. Seriously, try it. Use the M95 against someone who is using the L96A1 at 400+ meters. The L96 has PINPOINT accuracy - and this guy was no ordinary sniper. Hell, he even sniped me at 400+ meters with a SRAW. The M95 - I have shot someone  stationary in the head with it at point blank and it missed. Now add that to the fact that he was 400+ meters away, and he blended in with the skyline, making him almost invisible (compared to me standing up on the horizon) and that is one skillful shot.

lol and you will not accept the fact that in BF2 their is very little skill, its spray pray and most of the time the bunnyhopper beats the prone guy. in your case with your so called 'awesome shot' you got lucky, no skill, the l96 may be slightly more accurate but no biggy at 400meters. hence why it aint no big deal it was pure fluke just like it would have been if he shot you.

Now the fact that BF2 takes no skill I accept. ;)

If you want to fix bf2, try the Desert Conflict mod...

MUCH BETTER!

Ok 400M is nothing for any sniper rifle. It's not to hard to put a round center mass from 500m with an M-16a2. The M95s Maximum effective range is about 1800 meters.

So real life facts aside because I know it's hard to see 400m in most bf2 maps, the deviation is not that bad on any of the rifles, lets look at the stats:

M-95
Damage=190
Min Deviation 5
Deviation Standing / Crouching / Prone= 2/1.5/0.8
Deviation Mod when Zoomed= 0.01
Deviation Added per Shot =5 (3.5)

L96A1
Damage=95
Min Deviation= 5
Deviation Standing / Crouching / Prone= 2/1.5/0.8
Deviation Mod when Zoomed= 0.005
Deviation Added per Shot= 5 (3.5)

So as you see your m95 does MUCH more damage per hit and it's only other difference is the Zoomed mod wich is .01 instead of .005 so you have a .005 difference. The damage dealt more than compensates for that.

So now the question is raised why does anyone even use the unlocks when the m24 is almost identicle to the L96A1
Damage=95
Min Deviation= 5
Deviation Standing / Crouching / Prone= 2/1.5/0.8
Deviation Mod when Zoomed= 0.005
Deviation Added per Shot= 5 (3.5)

Funny, to me the L95A1 seems like a unlock better left alone, im not gonna spend countless play hours to get a rifle that has a negligeable improvement.

BTW Point of Existance is a good one too ;)

Tried PoE... Didn't really like it... :P

The thing I love about Dcon, is I usually are leading the server... I donno why...? Maybe because I play Desert COMBAT for 1942?

Oh, and the longest snipe... ever... I think was about 2000 metres! It was with M82A1.
