Any users of these programs that renew subsriptions with credit cards and who are not familiar with the EULA's should read this article.

Sounds like it would be easier to contact your credit card company and tell them to reject charges from Symantec, McAfee, etc.  If someone from Symantec, etc calls you saying "it's our policy to continue your enrollment and charge you" just say "it's my policy to not pay you".  :)

I never sign up for updates online or give them my credit card number.  I'd rather go to the store and buy a new copy to load up.  I've been rather turned off by both Norton and McAfee.  Both of them constantly barage you with pop-ups trying to sell you new products.  It's annoying when your spam filter spams you.

I agree completely. Inmost cases, Symantec, McAffe's and Microsoft's products aren't as good as independant developers. Microsoft should stick to Vista, Symantec and McAffee should just go away.
