Can somene tell me...

Postby Saitek » Thu May 17, 2007 2:51 am

how to fill out a form that is in PDF file and must be sent on email? I hate PDF. How do you edit a PDF file or copy and paste its contents as its appears onto something which can allow me to type?

Thanks

Hi Ben. I'm not sure this is possible. I think the idea is to print the form, fill it in by hand & send it by snail mail.

Some pdf forms you can fill in and click to send them.
If not, you'll have to print, scan and email.

Where is this form Ben? Got a link?

It's possible to fill in some PDF forms online. Here's some samples. http://www.quask.com/common/samples_job_application.asp

Hi....Open the pdf file...do "edit" then "copy file to clipboard". It's just a matter then of "pasting" it into your word processor .....Wordpad will do....and typing whatever you want into the relevant areas........

Simple enough.... if your computing skills are up to it that is......commoner ;)

Another way would be to paste it into Photoshop or whatever you use and type into it from there...save as a .jpg file after flattening the image...... ;)

Dr. Oz to the rescue. Go to http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads and then download both Foxit Reader (freeware and MUCH smaller, faster and better than Adobe). Then also download Foxit PDF Editor and you can read and/or edit PDFs to your hearts content ;)

Hi Hagar...yes still here and watching all the new guys strutting their stuff. Doing a fair job too most of em.

Sorry my "solution" didn't work for you...can't say why, I always use one of those methods...mostly Photoshop....commoner ;)

That sounds a useful piece of kit but it still doesn't solve the problem of signing the completed form.

It works in PSP but I don't really see how that helps. The form is intended for printing & filling out manually.
