Probe will support some boards. I've always had problems with it in one way or another. It often causes conflicts with sound and you can hear it "pulsing" as it takes readings, and this is on the board it was supplied with

........ maybe they fixed it but I doubt it.
Doesn't hurt to try it anyway.
Speedfan is the one most people use.
There are other programs on the cpuz site that monitor temps/speeds etc, and Everest does as well.
Check the resource usage if you are going to leave it running.
YOu also need to cross check the readings because if your PLL sensor/sender is not supported correctly the info will be wrong.
