2. Will I get kicked off the American BF2/142 server for high ping? I'd like to join a clan with people I already know instead of some random clan down here in Australia.

It varies depending on the ping you have right at that moment...so there is really no way to tell.

If this is going to happen i will be happy to help any way i could with BF2142 and Call Of Duty 2, as those are the only MP shooter games i currently play.

limited and from the looks of things, other members are active in clans which usualy require some cash.
as i said i would be limited with the amound i would be able to donate. but  to save on costs i would be able to host the website on my web hosting

lol.... high ping gaming is great....if your into clay pigeon shooting

although East cost servers in the US ping around 80<100 for me, which is playable. so if we where to get a server east coast would probably be the best bet

BFV, BF1942, huge amount of mods for each, including Forgotten Hope, DC, DCX (like Desert Combat, but 500X better), and Point of Existence for BFV (awesome awesome awesome).  People claim to love BF2 and BF2142, but everyone knows BF2 and BFV are far better and less buggy.  ;D

2142 isnt that bad, my only complaint would be the titans are coded realy badly, which is noticable by the increased lag once you get on them apart from that its sound

point of existance 2 for BF2 is even better than the origional mate, you should give it a go.

Meh...2142...I can't say I like any of the maps, weapons, vehicals...or anything.

...it's just like quake, but with last year graphics and absolutely no creativity from the developers.

...plus, they took out my favorite part of BF2...the aircrafts...there is nothing more satsifying in that game than to fly low over the LHD deck or through a hanger and get 4 road kills off of the idiots teamkilling each other over the next aircraft that spawns there...

...until this once someone got stuck on my windshield and I couldn't see and nearly crashed...

...amazingly...630 road kills and counting (well, maybe...if i start playing again...)...Wo0t! Wo0t!

and plus, all the ranks in 2142 are all screwed up. You get promoted every other minute...all the rank emblems look ugly...all the ranks are out of order...and the fictional ones that they threw in there to fill gaps all sound like something out of a cheesy '60s western film.
