CD key

I am trying to play some classic original day of defeat and i cant get a cd key. I dont want to do anything illegal but i have no other choice. Can someone help me?

OK. I want to play the half life mod Day of Defeat for PC. It is an offical mod like counter-strike and i have the disc. When the game asks me to enter the CD key, i do not have it. Could someone please help me get one?

Yeah, you definately need the key to play the game. You don't even need the disk. The important part is the key. If you have the disk without the key there is pretty much nothing you can do. Unless you wanna play LAN using an older version.

I think if you have a half-life key you will be able to download DOD for free though.
