Can someone explain to me why so many people have got it in for XP Service Pack 2.

Thanks

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I think he means why so many give SP2 a bad rap.

I couldn't tell you, probably some dont install it properly?
I have had it since it was beta and wont run XP with out it.

XP is only a really good OS if SP2 is installed, so I can't understand why people don't run it.

SP2 fully updated is very stable, and runs quite well. Also many newer programs require SP2 to even run.

Personally I didn't upgrade to XP until SP2 came out due to the horrable rep SP1 got.

Some programs don't run well without SP2. I think it is a necessity.

99% of SP2 install issues is due to spyware. If you make certain your PC is clean and free of any spyware(viruses) the install should go without a hitch.
