PC problems again

Postby Serpent_6 » Tue Jul 18, 2006 3:38 am

Im getting blue screens again at random times, most of the times the screen is just blue but now i got a text.

PAGE_FOULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and it said that the problem was most likely WIN32.SYS :(

Anyone know how i can fix it without reinstalling windows again? :)

The XP install disk has a "repair installation" option. Give that a go ;)

Well if it's a genuine copy of XP, try and borrow a friend's install disk. Won't hurt at all.

If you're asked for the serial number, make sure you put your own one in.

Okay heres what you need to do, and it will save you a lot of time. Pop in a XP disk, any one will do. Once the setup screen pops up and asks you if you want to install XP hit your R key. It will give you a command prompt looking screen. Type in "FIXBOOT" then enter, and then "FIXMBR" enter again. Then type in "EXIT" this should restart your machine. After that your windows should boot up. Its a lot faster to do it this way insted of doing it via the repair option, cus what that does is replaces any altared windows system files, which sucks for you.
