Then again, since its a public school, and my parents pay taxes it really isn't stealing.

I need to re-pave my drive. I pay my road tax, so by that rational, I own the road, so I can dig a bit up and take it home, or FS9 was so expensive that I use a pirate copy. MS have not lost anything because I would have never bought it in the first place at that price. Not quite sure that the judge would see it the same way.

Anyone had any problems installing this build? I get to about 92% complete and it gives me an error message.

I was googling around, and found [quote[I recieved this message before. It wasnt the DVDs fault at all though. It
turned out that If you have a Motherboard with SATA + PATA drives, and you
have Native Mode selected in the BIOS (Not the compatibility mode) your
install will fail[quote].

Perhaps that will help?

P.S: I'm installing Vista on seperate partition in a few days :)

You know as well as i do you DONT install an OS overclocked..

anyway, I was just informed the error can be caused by a bad burn which is why MS recommends you turn your burn speed down (it states that specifically on the site).... but in this case it is an MS duck-up.

Re download the ISO and it will be fixed.

I would also recommend you crank that overclock DOWN until Visa is installed.

Overclock wasn't the problem (however it did become one later, and was quickly fixed). It was infact a bad ISO. Redownloaded, and ran via Dameon.

Works great, and am posting a vid on youTUBE now.

Your going to want to switch back to the PC after seeing this Ramos. Its very OSXish, but running off windows, so you can actually game.

Basically Mac is going to be quite shut down with all of their new "I'm great out of the box" commercials. I booted up vista, and the only two drivers I actually had to install were my Audio (Vista's is buggy) and Video (I wanted CCC). Also Vista has many of the features that Mac users like (dummed down menus, glass, widgets, etc).

I love this OS, but its still one of those things where its a little too impractical to run as a main OS.

yeah especially after i read that Vista is going to use 14gb!! thats outrageous, it's all eye-candy.

anyway, im stil trying to make a decision on getting the macbook pro or getting a macbook and a PC laptop... money is quite the issue here.

i've tried vista before when i installed longhorn on a school comptuer. i also did OSX 10.4.3 on a PC. all went well, but i had to get rid of both for obvious reasons.

i have to wait 2-4 weeks for Vista. and Microsoft is good about sending stuff fast to me.

I don't know where you got 15GB from, Vista only took up about 8GB on my drive. XP only took 4GB, but after all the stuff ive done to it, it now uses 6GB. So say what you like. And if I remember right, OSX Tiger takes 6GB? and thats with Frontrow and iLife installed. So that base size is almost the same. However the extra 2GB is because it comes with Media Center, and a Live beta. Also office 2007 is vurry sexy if I do say so.

[quote]OMG!

Read the text in the link..... MS are recognising and offering Vista Beta2 to Enthusiasts! Not sure if this is a first in their official hype.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/

What's more, I instantly recognised the location in the background shot on that page from my flying in MSFS even though I have never been within 1500 miles of it!

Clue: It's always been in MSFS scenery since I can remember........ the early editions.

Clue 2: There is an airport behind the hill on the right and on the other side of the river.

Anyone else get it straight off the bat?
