Can Crimson Skies be tweaked?

Postby gaussianum » Sat Apr 22, 2006 1:49 pm

Is it possible to tweak Crimson Skies in such a way as to make the aircraft fly more realistically?

I think it uses an improved MechWarrior 3 engine, but I'm not sure.

 Thanks.

fraid not.. it's an arcade game and dosen't pay any consideration to reality.  Some of the misions are fun though  ;D

I don't know if you've tried this yet, but you probably have....... You can fly it amazingly slow, it's kind of wierd, but fun in confined spaces.

I liked Crimson Skies for some reason, it was fun and I got a laugh out of it. Online it was pure mayhem.

Thanks guys. I haven't tried flying really slow, but I don't expect that to be more realistic than flying fast...:)

Actually, I own the french version, and it's so irritating that I haven't kept it on my hard-disk for long. It really makes me wonder what the french actors consider to be sense of humour. I guess that making funny voices is considered hilarious by them. But it definitely ruins the game's atmosphere. Would like to compare it with the original in that regard.

But the graphics are so amazing that it's a shame that we can't tweak it for realism. Plus I rather enjoy making wild aerobatics more than blowing enemies to smithereens. It requires a different kind of skill, and it's certainly challenging.

 Best Regards
