The new firefox 2 alpha has been released, code named Bon Echo. It isn't full featured yet but I can already see a major improvement!! Tabbed Browsing is improved with session reoveries, butter tabbed environment. It is also faster again than 1.5. The feel of it is also very nice and I haven't come accross any bugs. I wouldn't recommend for general users, but for those of you who don't mind alphas, I suggest it. Downlaod here http://www.mozilla.org/projects/bonecho ... 2.0a1.html

It's named Bon Echo in the tradition of naming there alphas after public parks. Bon Echo is one in Canada i do believe and it translates to good echo. They choose it because they want FF 2 to be an echo of FF 1 in the sense that it will improve browsing for the general user. I agree FireFox blows IE out of the water. I used to have adaware, spybot and virus scans every 3 days with IE. Now that I use Firefox I don't need to have adaware or spybot installed and I run virus scans every 6 months without a single virus found. It's also faster and the tabbed browsing is awesome, there is no beating it!!
The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world [with IE].
*Key Word: Try*
Sorry, I had to say that. M$ is actually implimenting tabbed browsing [as shown in the CES video] on IE once Vista comes out. But everyone knows that IE will never beat FF [not in a million years].
