Vista the future isnt so near......

Seems that all the Vista worries can be calmed now for at least a year ;)

I saw this in the BBC news website this morning. At least they're trying to get the security problems sorted before release. Guess they don't want the giant slagging that went with XP all over again. Hooray for MS for finally listening 8)

Eh its what I've been predicting for awhile now. The problem is that there are no DX10 video cards out yet, much less have desingers relased any press of them except what their gonna be called. I think the one year+ push is the perfect idea. It will give graphics companys more time to prefect their DX10 cards, and CPU companys time to release their new chips (AM2 from AMD and Conroe from Intel). And not only release them but drop the prices to the region where the normal user would consider upgrading.

Oh microsoft you finally listen to all we have told you. Well lets just hope they get it right the first time.

Cheers

"You can play semantics and say that the operating system is shipping in 2006, but if consumers can't buy it until 2007, PC manufacturers don't have it to sell to them," Wilcox said. "This blow falls on the partners."

Translation: "Hey, this sucks man!  Hope are we supposed to rob people of their money without some fancy names to throw in their face?"

Top Story: In response to Microsoft decision to rob hardware blowhards of a Vista label, all products are to recieve GT, GTX and perhaps GTA if the situation proves dire.

Hardware sales...  Hah!

Well what they will probibly do is leave out the features that are "Vista and DX10" enhanced for now, and release a patch that cover these areas when they come out. That way we can have an amazing game now, and MS gets their big fat check.

I think it's safe to say all Vista tied products will be delayed.
