Postby Flt.Lt.Andrew » Tue Sep 06, 2005 3:30 am

There's been some musing about a massive free for all....I'm heading into holidays soon, so I could try and organise it, if we're serious about trying this....so which sim?

Hhaa, Mark, I beleive the lack of hyphenation adjoining a"flight-sim" confused me, as I did not link these words together...so the message read something like....

"No flight. Sim talk in the caf

IL-2 is practically the most stable sim.

I agree that LO:MAC and IL-2 are good sims, but they lack the versatility that FS2004 has to offer, i.e. you can't just go and download what you want for it to enhance gameplay. You can't fly an F-15 in IL-2, and you can't fly an FW-190 in LO:MAC, but you can do both in FS, as well as being able to fly a 737! ... Though I really want the LO:MAC heat haze effect, and the IL-2 damage in FS :D

For modability, nothing beats SF:P1/WoV.

IL2FB+AEP was the best combat sim I've used. Never got into PF. Probably cause it took about 1/2 an hour to work out why the planes didn't move*...
