Printing Photos (album) - question

Postby Vic » Tue Aug 30, 2005 8:09 am

Hey guys! I have a question - I have a HP Photosmart printer with the newer ImageZone software (which is a problem). Now the question - They only have 6 templates for when you want to print several photos on one sheet of paper. In the older version of the software (which was on the CD that came with it - the one that I lost  8) ) you could make your own template (you would select the size of the photo you want and how many photos you would want on the sheet and also if you wanted them to be different sizes and there were alot more templates you could use.
Does anyone know a program that allows you to make your own templates or that has alot of different ones built into it? (Maybe there is that option in the ImageZone - I looked everywhere but still I might have missed it)
Thanks!

Having never used ImageZone, I wouldn't know about it features. (the first thing I do when I buy a printer is download the newest drivers and use it with photoshop; the cd included never touches my dvd-rom; I hate bundled photo "editing" software, it is usually horrible and very limited). I can steer you toward some better alternatives though

I use photoshop all the time for image printing and I recommend it, but it is a professional product which is not cheap nor easy to use for beginners.

I do recommend a watered down versian of photoshop called photoshop elements. This versian will do what you want and a lot more like remove red-eye or crop photos. Its really handy for common folk who want quasi-"pro" results.

If you don't want to buy anything, Microsoft office comes with a product called publisher which can also do what you want.
