oops, i did something

hey all
when ever i donwload things, it wont promp me if i want to save or to open or run it. Then when i open it in winzip, there will be no files there even though i just downloaded it.
how do i fix this?

What program are you using to download? IE, Firefox, other?

You probably changed the download options by mistake. Try right-clicking on the download link & select Save Target As.

hmmmmmm
i defulted all internet explorer things.
this only happens when i download .zips?
anyone had this problem, and how do i fix it?

Try what Hagar suggest, sounds like it may be a file association problem.

1: open explorer (not IE)
2: find the item called 'display options' or 'folder options' (not the one on the right click menu)
3: go to 'file types' tab
4: select file type that opens automatic
5: click 'advanced'
6: below the 'action' box there are three checkboxes, for ZIP at least the top one should be checked
7: click OK for eery window you opened
