Who here loves Doom 3?

Postby Dan » Tue Apr 05, 2005 11:59 am

Well? Come on out of the wood-work! I think this has to be one of the best games around - ID really have done themselves proud! I really enjoy this as a game.
BTW, it seems to be a love hate - some people hate it because 'its too far fetched'. Lame excuse!  8)  ;)
Any others then? Just me... Ok  ;D

I hated Doom 3 with a vengence!

I now realise what a complete Donkey I've been, I am currently enjoying splatting Zombie gut-slime! - I love it!!!

Moral of this Rant?

Nvidia is indeed "The way its ment to be played" but, not if you were silly enough to buy a Geforce FX like I was.

My 6800 has changed my views on most of my games collection.  8)

I bought my FX5600 to play the ,then new, Combat Flight Simulator 3 about 2 years back...
Finally!  after yet another Graphics card upgrade, the sim runs like it was supposed to in the first place! ::)

Doom 3 is great, but, only if you have the 3D card to match it.  ;)

I love it only for its engine. I'm gonna mod that thing to hell...LOL.

But as for Doom 3 as a game, its sucks. I should be in hell for wasting my time in playing it.

The first couple hours, awesome. The next couple and I'm like its ok. Last hours and it was repeatious and just crap.

It has no replay value. Multiplayer, what a joke.

In fact, I can make one for you if you like. I am in the process of modding doom 3 as we speak...err, write.

Doom 3 has built-in cheats as well. Just open the console and type them in.

I loved Doom 3.... Took me over 2 months too fully get through it. Normally Played 15 mins at a time until I got past the first series of levels..... After the labs, Well then it was 1 to 6+ Hours playing non stop. It was probably the best game I have played in a long time (apart from FS9) I loved every last dead Demon! Cheers, Gunny
