what do you use for protection?

What's your best method of protection? ( ;D ;D ;D)

Right now I'm running XP Pro on my desktop and Home on my new laptop.

Both are running macaffe's newest version of antivirus as it is free through the university.. :-)

Also I'm running the free version of the sygate firewall... ;-)

For anti-spyware removal I typically use a combination of the SBC yahoo spyware removal tool as it was able to remove the stuff that aol installed automatically... ::) as well as the microsoft beta version of their antispy tool, depending on what I'm doing I'll leave it running or turn it off. And last but not least the spybots search and destroy.:-)

All free for me, besides the sbc software which was included with our dsl package..:-)

Well, I kind of sterilized my PC by shutting down unnecessary ports which could be a security risk.
But extra protection - no way!

Router, ZoneAlarm Pro, Avast Antivirus, Spybot , AdAware and, of course, practice safe surfing.

There isn't much that's going to get past all of that.
