Ok heres the thing. The pace cars speed is determined by how fast you are going. You can only catch it at corners and if you do hit it hard enough to fail that means you were going too fast for the corner. the only problem comes on the long straights of the nburgring where the test car can catch it, in this case release the gas for a short time and then get back on it. try to do the course without actually copying the pace car, but just remember its there so you dont pass or hit it. trust me the 10 minute mark is easy when you know most of the course.

i have only done this on gt3 but if you just go around the course as fast as you can that ussaly gets gold stuff the pace car

Cant do that. Pass or hit the pace car you fail. It doesnt matter anyway as the pace car can do the gold time, its speed is determined by the speed your doing.

useful for those who are new to racing games i guess. It helps with knowing the correct racing lines of a course.

Well. . . . .

Photo mode is fun, for a short period of time ;)
The new layout is. . . . .well. . . . . :-/
The licences aren't exactly easy, but a few could be harder (and some easier)
The selection of cars is awesome, especially the amount of 'Historic' cars
The addition of 'Tuner Village' is a nice idea
The number of tracks is a lot better

Overall, it was definately worth my 99p 8)

Cheers,

Have any of you guys experienced a small problem with the game-where the screen starts to shake.  Occassionally when I'm playing GT4, the screen will start to have this virbate effect.  If I switch views for a second it goes away-has anyone else experienced this.

I mainly use the GT mode (not arcade) and use the chase view.  I haven't played arcade or used other views enough to remember if it happens there or not-but it deffinately happens to me in GT mode while using chase view.

Richie are you being hit by anything or going over rumble strips? That causes the screen shake now. I dont know if it is something else as i dont use chase view.

Some of you may have found this already, but there's a simple way to get some serious money really quick.

Buy a used (preferably Japanese) car, I got a '97 Supra RZ for 35k, tune it up as much as you can afford and reduce weight.

Then go to "Special Conditions" (bottom left of world map) and enter the "Rally Costa Di Amalfi" (Capri rally), you DON'T need dirt tires to enter.

Win both races (nice and easy, just watch for twists and jumps in the track) and you should receive the "Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car".

Sell the car for 265k, then return to "Special Conditions" and repeat the same race again (Choose clear when it asks you if you want to clear previous results, otherwise you won't be able to win another car).

4 of these and you have a million, nice and easy 8), you also get 5k for every win 8).

Follow these steps and you'll be kicking a$$ in no time ;D. . . . . ;)

Happy racing,

Wonder how Torquay would cope. . . . . ???. . . . . ::). . . . . ;). . . . . ;D

I'm sure I'll enjoy "photo" mode a lot more once I get hold of some USB Flash Memory ;)

;D Sounds like my kinda truck ;D

15 to a gallon isn't too bad considering the top-end version has a 5.7 HEMI V8 in it, packing 345horses ;)

Compare that to the Hummer H2 which has a 6.0 V8 packing 316horses and apparently less to a gallon and I'd say it would be well worth it 8)

Just having the money to buy one will be a big problem for me, for a while at least :(, oh and I can't drive either ;D

Cheers,

Carl

The key thing about the Ram and the F150 from ford, is they are real pick-up trucks. Not the stupid things we have here that couldnt hold a lawnmower in the back. Really nice and i am thinking of getting the cheaper model Ram if i move to the States. Used they are cheaper than a mustang in some cases, which is partly why:)
