Based on my opinion of 1942, NO.
That must be the absolute worse game I ever bought so I don't see Vietnam being any different.
But that is my opinion  8)

BFV is just a offical "mod" for bf1942.

The gfx looks a lot better, but thats cause they used higher res models and textures.

Any feature in vietnam can be put into bf1942 with some programming as both use the same engine. In fact, the BF 1942 desert combat mod has many of the features in BFV.

As for gameplay, not too much difference between it and 1942.

Let me put it this way, if you have extra money and have nothing to do, get it. IF you are strapped for cash, buy a better game like doom3 or Half life 2 or Far Cry. There are so many better games than vietnam so as to buy BFV over the others would be a waste.

Yeah, my mom wouldn't let me get a T game til I was 13... And she won't let me buy an M game for another year... ::) But BFV is great in my opinion... Pretty hard, but it's still good. 8) Ask Heretic, aka the German Smurf and he will agree. ;)

Banning any game with an M rating doesn't nessarily mean responsibility.

Partially - Joint Ops is better, but BFV is totally okay.

I'm not saying banning I don't belive in censorship.

By responsible I mean that at least his parents are aware of what the game ratings mean and are involved in making decisons in what he can or can't play due to his age.
I don't get these parents that go out and buy GTA for thier 11 year old and then get all mad and want to sue because they think a game gave thier kid a bad attitude.
That is not a responsible parent ;)

Dont get BFV or BF1942 for single player tho  :P
They're pretty much only for multiplayer :)
