I saw this guy on the Discovery Channel, he was in a program called "Kings of Sim". Compared to some that were shown, he was just a beginner, though I take nothing away from his achievement, it is magnificent

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

There was one guy on the Kings of Sim, who built an f-18 cockpit in his basement. It used original "black boxes" for all the avionics (he does work for Rockwell Collins), and has full ejection seat with O2 and inflating Speed Jeans. Can't remember if it has motion or not though, but it was almost military grade 8-)
