Looks to me that they work from the old joystick or Media port found on older PC's.  I think they will be driver dependent and that is if you have a joystick post on the mother board or sound card.

I'm just seeing them as a good starting point for the core mechanical work to which you can then completly alter/replace the interface circuitry.  Those LOOK like metal units.....and well built.  Beat the crap out of CH or Saitek plastic crap.

Looks promising...

BTW...you can also get a joystick port to USB adapter. If you can't find one...let me know I've got one sitting here in a box...!

However I have a feeling John's right and the driver compatibility will be tough to figure out...
