GoFlight Advanced MCP Module

Postby JSpahn » Wed Mar 05, 2008 1:12 pm

Here is the latest pics from my cockpit :D I made the investment and so far Im pleased. The go flight module plugs in directly via USB and is configured thru software. The advanced module is more then what I need right now but as my flying skills increase the added functionality of a full mcp should come in handy.

I do have a problem with the encoder for the vertical speed wheel. Ill more then likely need to send it back, but I heard that goflight has excellent support so no worries.

Here is the latest pic:

Here is another quick pic of how I mounted the cold cathode tubes under the glareshield:

I may have a major setback I dropped the main flight sim pc (the one to the right in the first pic) when I was moving stuff around to get the mcp mounted >:(. It hit the floor and stuff went all over I still havent tested out and to be honest Im a bit scared ;D

once you're done the dash part of the sim set up, make sure you use that chair on the left as your captains seat ;) ;)  8-)

Here is a better night shot, I cant begin to express how much more entertaining flying ILS is with the MCP. Also the cathode lighting, once I made some adjustments adds to the realism. My next step will be to build a base which will hold the seat and pedestal.
