Another Question

Postby Mobius » Fri Jan 18, 2008 9:51 pm

Still going on with this BU0836A deal.  The main reason I wanted to get one of these is to re-wire a Suncom SFS Throttle (HERE), and people said they could do it with this and it worked great.  But, the throttle doesn't use pots, it has some sort of variable resistance type thing with only two wires whereas the BU0836A has three inputs (ground, input, and +5V) and I don't know what to connect to what to make it work.  I have hooked the throttle up to a multimeter, and it does have a variable resistance.  Does anyone know how to make this work?  Thanks again for all the help.

Can you get any numbers off the variable resistor? You could look for a tech sheet on the net. I would think it would be the 5v and input(wiper) that would need to be connected. You might be able to ground to the case of the resistor if it is metal

But look for that tech sheet first ;)

I don't really know what they are.  They're attached to the throttle, and I would have to do some serious disassembling to get them out.  All that I can see on them is "B100K".  I will try to connect it to the 5V and input spots to see if it works.  Thanks again.
