Probably still the most impressive home cockpit I've seen, not that it's better than anyone's here, but you know, I'm a fighter man at heart...8-)

Discovery Channel here in Europe had a program called "Kings of Sim" dedicated to home builders. This guy got a large amount of program time alloted to him. What you don't see is the rack upon rack of computers and real "black boxes" that are running this thing. As I recall he works for Collins or similar and has access to stuff that would be junked as out of date or no longer airworthy. I also seem to remember his wife was interviewed as she cut the grass. Said he was very sad, but she loved him ;D.

Another impressive one, was the guy who had built a 777 simpit in the spare bedroom. You went up stairs, and, well if anyone remembers the children's program Mr Ben, you went through the door and came out in the cockpit of a 777. Most spectacular and 100% detail.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
