CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT TEMPS A GPU SHOULD BE AT FOR BEST PERFORMANCE. I AM GETTING A TEMP OF @ 43 C FOR MY GPU AND 38-39 C FOR MY HDD. IS THIS OK? THANKS, RAMPRAT

Firstly, click Caps Lock to turn it off

Thirdly, which hardware, exactly, are you using? Temperatures will vary from piece to piece, so it's hard to say if it's just idling properly or overheating.

Fourth, and finally, the colder is usually the better. People use liquid nitrogen to cool down processors to -200C or so when they're overclocking them, but that's a short time affair. Colder is better, but the 40C region is absolutely fine for most things. Some GPUs are rated to operate at up to 120C, and about 60C is recommended for hard disk drives. So you should be absolutely fine.

Thanks. Your right about the Forum. I didnt look far enough down the list, sorry. Im using a amd hd 6450-2gb gaphics card in an old dell dimension 4700 with 2.5 gb of ram and the pentium 4 3.2 cpu.
