Which CPU is better?

I am looking at 2 identically priced CPU's and I am wondering which one would be hands down better. (for gaming, & fsx)

A Pentium D dual core 960, 3.6GHz, with 800mhz fsb

or

Intel Core 2 Duo E6420, 2.13GHz, with 1066 MHz fsb

The core2 is better due to architectural differences
[ASUS P8H67]- [Intel core5 2500k]- [4gb Corsair DDR] - [Asus 560ti]
