I'm hoping to go to university later this year, but I've noticed that most accomodation blocks only offer a wired connection inside flats. Naturally, a lot of technology is now wireless, so I'm wondering how feasable it might be to turn an ethernet port into a wireless point for my devices.
So literally ethernet cable (hole in the wall) to 'x' device, then wirelessly connect to that device. Effectively just bridging the connection, but I would like to use multiple devices on the same point.
I have some old routers hanging around, but they all use a telephone cable to connect - I am able to use the ethernet socket in one of those to make it act as a wireless point?
Cheers
