Monitor

Postby 757200ba » Sat Apr 16, 2011 8:47 pm

I have a dedicated machine to fs9, its a dual core at 2.8. 2 gb of ram, 9800gt with the latest nvidia drivers. the problem is. No matter witch resolution or frequency my monitor ( 20' activa) has this blured vertical lines and some ghosts on the letters. Any ideas? What you think of this machine to run fs9?

Many thanks in advance

From what you described that machine sounds more than enough for FS9. My dad has a similar monitor problem..he's not sure why it does that either.

Has it always been like this or at some point in time was it okay?

If it was okay at some point in time do you recall changing any hardware, drivers, software, etc. just before it started this?

Have you added any drivers for the monitor? Have you tried rolling back the Nvidia driver to a previous version? Have you matched the resolution in the simulator to that of your display adapter?

I've never had this happen to me before with te simulator but have had it happen with other games as well.

I've also heard that this could be indicative of a video card that is getting weak and about to pass on. It will perform great under normal loads but when you ask it to run more complex things like the simulator it has trouble?

Well this card is new (i know that doesnt mean anything) and it happens on windows environment, and it was always like this. i use a kvm switch is that a cause for this to happen?at some resolution (1024*768) it reduces the ghost and the blured.
Activa doesnt have any drivers for this monitor.
