You could get something faster but for 1/4th the price if you bought a desktop computer. Also make sure to look at laptops by other companies because apparently there are cheaper ones that have similar specs to the ones you posted.

I agree.
Other places will have specs that will be the same, maybe lower for a lot less.
Personally though, if you want, you can custom build yours.
I always recommend custom builds.
You get exactly what you want, to do what you want, for less.
Plus what I like about custom building is the fact you know what you can upgrade to from the start,
I.E if you buy a pre built, sometimes you do not know what motherboard they use, so you have to research it, then sometimes that motherboard only works with "their" parts.
But custom building has a downside too...
No customer support.
(By that I mean if a part breaks, you have to worry about getting an RMA, or if your having problems with the computer you have to learn how to fix it)
But just remember, the price tag you pay for prebuilts is higher because of the support and labor required to build it for you.
