When my print suddenly fades away, a quick peek at the contents of the transparent HP cartridge shows that it is.....

...wait for it......

.....empty.... ...!

..and poking that little button with a paper clip is not guaranteed to fill it up again... ...arse!...... ...!

I have heard that is a marketing scheme and not so much cheap software/hardware. I have always just kept printing until I see the quality degrade.
